A pair of hand carved solid oak salvage fragments from France are bare wood with no finish. Iron mounts on the back may be from a day bed from the late 1800's. There are losses on this antique farmhouse pair, see photos.
Size is 29" wide, 14" tall,  and 2 1/2" deep.
