Lot 27 Antique Small Brass Back Plates End Caps Salvage For Old Beds Or Pulls

Up for auction is a salvage Lot consisting of 13 small antique brass end caps and 14 fancy back plates (hard to find in sets) for old brass and iron bed repair. Their description is as follows:
Top 2 Rows:
A set of 10 really nice fluted brass back plates measuring 1.5” wide. The opening measures .25”. These were attached with little brass screw balls on a .25” all thread that would be protruding from the bed at various places on the bed. I am planning on listing some of these little round screw balls of various sizes. See last picture.
Third Row:
A set of 4 smaller fluted brass back plates measuring 1.25” wide with an .25” opening. Please note: some paint remains on them.
These back plates can also be used with pretty antique knobs.
Bottom Row:
Here are 13 caps for the old brass and iron beds. 12 of them measure 1” in length and fit on a 3/8” brass rod and the last one on right measures .75” and fits on a 3/8” rod. Note: first 4 are split free but the remaining 9 have splits in the brass. This usually is not an issue and still can be used if wanted.

We have been listing lots of brass bed parts that have been packed for 20+ years after closing our antique business. We restored lots of brass and iron beds in the 1970’s so ended up with lots of random pieces.
