Big Eye Cat Coin Bank Vtg 1970s Groovy Orange Kitten And Mouse Japan New Trends
Adorable vintage 1970's "New Trends" bank made in Japan.
The bank is an orange cat, with big eyes, and her small blue mouse pal.
I have seen these banks as being described both as made of paper mache and plaster. I lean towards the paper mache.
The groovy kitty cat is about 6 3/4" tall, 5" wide and 3 1/4" deep.
She has a slot on top, and still has her rubber stopper and "New Trends" sticker on the bottom.
She has a few tiny missing spots of paint and dirty scuffs, some light wear to the bottom and the worse damage is some tiny gouges in the back of the ears and a superficial crack below her left ear. Please see all the photos.
