Bassick Matching Set 5" Casters Vintage Industrial Cart Swivel Cast Iron Large

$ 71.28

Description

Great set of four early vintage industrial casters off an old mill cart, made by Bassick 13.  The casters all have some light surface rust and wear.    Cleaned them up a bit, but did not want to make them look too finished, just in case the end user wanted some age left on them.   The caster wheels are cast iron.  The mounting plates are cast iron as well.  They have ball bearing swivels, all intact.   One of the casters appears fitted for breaking mechanism.  Note two back wheels are set at an angle, and freely swivel 360 degrees.  Front two wheels are perpendicular and fixed.  All wheels rotate freely on their center axis.  Each wheel is embossed / strengthened with a 5-point star motif.  Wheel housing is marked "Bassick" as photographed.  Side of wheel is impressed "Morrison Int. Co." and one of the following numbers:  6, 2, 4, or 5.  Each has a rectangular plate to affix to the underside of item you wish to add wheels.
Extremely sturdy and ready to be used on your DIY project.
Due to weight, these are best shipped in USPS flat rate Medium box.

The item listed is being sold as is, as pictured and as described to the best of my knowledge.  If you have a question on an item prior to purchase, please ask. Remember, when buying vintage expect imperfections as these items have a history and have been in the possession of others. I try to list EVERY flaw which would be commented on something in an antique or vintage condition – this does not mean all imperfections resulting from normal wear & use require comment. My goal is to have no rude surprises upon receipt.
