This appears to be some type of hardwood, but not sure what kind...
It is a large piece, with these APPROX. measurements:
Over-all width as shown on ruler:  27-1/4"
Height as shown on ruler:  13"
Thickness at the top:  1-3/4"
Thickness on the lower portion:  7/8"
This old piece comes with some wear/damage:
Cracked as shown in Photo #6 (it is also cracked on the opposite
side, mostly underneath, and not as wide); some dings, dents, scratches,
etc. due to age and use.   Not enough photos to show each
