Description

Picture here is an antique chalkware or gypsum resting cat bank figure with green glass eyes. He is highly detailed and has great expression seeming to look at you from everywhere. There is a removable old tin plug on the underside for removing the coins, and the slot for depositing them on the back of the head was never cut open (see last photo). The brindle color is amazing and skillfully painted. We believe it dates to the latter part of the 19
th
c. There are no cracks or chips. Please enjoy the photos for the best look. It will display well.
Measurements are: 13” tail to ear x 7 ½” tall to the top of the ears.
